I've been bringing my Malinois, Harley, to Playful Paws Rural location for boarding and daycare for over 3 years. Harley loves people but has issues with other dogs. The staff goes above and beyond to make her stays there enjoyable and stress-free. She loves going there and comes home relaxed and tired. Wow, it has been 5 years since we first encountered Playful Pays for our puppy. We greatly appreciate their grooming and daycare services. I could write an essay on how great they have been with both us and our dog Oreo. As a one-dog household, Oreo loves to go to daycare where he can socialize with his canine friends and be part of the “couch crew”.
It is so convenient to drop him off for doggie daycare and when it is his King for a Day (bath, trim the nails and trim points) or grooming day, they complete the service while he is already there and no extra trips/appointments are required. We have him on a pre-scheduled rotation for years now and it has worked out wonderfully. The groomers do a great job and have been very patient with him especially when he was a puppy and not wanting people to do anything with his ears or nails. Their prices are reasonable for the services provided.
I love that they post photos so we can see what the dogs have been up to. We no longer live in Saskatoon and there are closer options but we continue to bring Oreo into the city to attend Playful Paws weekly as they take such wonderful care of him there.

My Cat Otter absolutely loves her visits at Playful Paws. She gets so excited when we arrive and immediately starts “talking” to the staff, she clearly feels right at home. The staff allow me to come up to the cat condo area with them and set her up and she immediately starts climbing their cat tree’s and exploring. The entire space is thoughtfully designed with feline comfort in mind. Otter has a habit of helping herself to snacks and the team accommodates by securing and latching all cupboards just in case. She has also been groomed during her stay and the groomer has done a wonderful job. She always comes home smelling fresh. I truly appreciate the care and attention they give her every stay.

Athena has been coming to Playful Paws for boarding since 2018 and I couldn’t be happier with the service. She always gets lots of attention and snuggles (she’s very demanding), and when she’s the only cat in one of the large rooms the staff will sneak in her little chihuahua dog brother for a visit. The staff are very good at taking pictures and posting to Instagram so we can keep up with their adventures away from home, and are very responsive when you have any questions about their stay.

I have been taking my dogs to Playful Paws for over 10 years. Robin met my boxer at 10 weeks old and suggested I bring her in for a play day. Now 10 years later my pups go every week and get so excited when they know they are going. Robin and her team treat my girls like they are their very own, and it’s a huge relief that I know they are well taken care of. I also love that if I need a place for boarding that daycare is included in their stay. They love the private suite so my girls can stay together and cuddle overnight. They follow all directions that your pet requires and can administer medications if needed. My girls have also gotten grooming and nail trims when I drop them off for the day makes it very convenient in one trip. The staff are hands down the best, treat us like family. I have referred so many friends and family to Playful Paws and will continue to do so as they take care of my fur family and I am forever thankful for them.
